Dr Roz Savage MBE is an environmental advocate, published author, international speaker, and four-times Guinness World Record holder, including being the first woman to row solo across three oceans - the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian - to raise awareness of our environmental crisis.

She is the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Liberal Democrats in the South Cotswolds, campaigning for a better future for our environment, our public services (including NHS, public transport, and education), and our young people.

She is committed to listening, to putting all her energy and enthusiasm into delivering the change we need, and to serving the best interests of our Cotswolds communities.

Explaining her decision to enter the world of politics, Roz says:

“I know from my own experience we are all capable of doing amazing things that change lives, families, communities, and our environment for the better.

"Inspired by the Queen’s life of devotion to public service, I decided to stand for parliament.

"I share Liberal Democrat values and our vision for a society in which every person has the opportunity to develop their potential to the full. I was lucky enough to go to Oxford to read Law, but my parents were on low incomes, and I've been working ever since my first paper round at the age of 13. I know what it's like to struggle, but I also know what it's like to have opportunity, and I believe that everybody should have a chance to succeed in life.

"People want to be listened to, treated with respect, and have a voice in creating a better future.

"They want to be represented by people with real life experience who understand the challenges they face and will work for them, their families, and communities.

"It's time for change and I am absolutely up to the challenge of delivering it, by winning here for the Liberal Democrats."
