Live the Adventure!
Though rowing the pacific is a solo experience, it could not happen without the help of many people and advanced technology. The big ocean comes with big costs including: a 10,000 dollar satellite phone bill, 14,800 dollars in travel cost for my team and me, $4,500 for weather services, $5,700 for trailer shipping, $26,300 for boat refurbishment…and all the things that make it possible to do what has not been done before.
So I am asking for your help, not only to support my final Pacific voyage but to help launch my next adventure – a non-profit foundation. My highest ambition is to be not only a person who has achieved a great personal accomplishment but to also be a person who ignited change in others and change in the world.
This dream has evolved into the beginnings of my foundation, the purpose of which is to nurture and support people in their efforts to make the world a better place. An example of the kind of projects we be interested in funding is Eco-Heroes. Eco-Heroes is a program that encourages and rewards people for doing little things in their everyday life that make a big difference for the environment.
So please join me and together we can create a better, greener future, one stroke at a time.
