Sponsored Miles.
On previous blogs, before Roz’s stopover in Geraldton, we had given names of sponsors up to 200 miles. Roz rowed nearer to 300 due to looping the loops. Fremantle to Geraldton is 241 miles, so we are now giving you the names of sponsors for miles 201 – 241. Future blogs will have sponsors of miles achieved between noon GMT one day and GMT the next.

Grateful thanks to: Eileen Hawkes, Joan Sherwood, Doug and Larry Grandt (for Rochelle), Bleddyn Williams, Chris Ferreira, Anna Wildy, Jeffrey Green, Sue Losson, Florian Thurner, Nancy Bowman, Amanda Atkins, Bankside Consulting, John Sturgeon, Andrew Hindle and Dominic Howell.

Today’s miles: Peter Bromley, Kenny Runnderduck, Claire and Adrian Thornhill, Doug Grandt (for Dimas), Steve Isbell, Ron Bloomquist, Thomas Schoenweitz.

Roz you’re amazing. You always manage to pull it together brilliantly. Best of luck on round two. We will be following you in our school.

  • Will Stockland

Good thinking getting back to land to fix the de-salinator while you could. All the best for the rest!

A worthy cause always finds benefactors. Good luck!

Checking in at a local coffee house last night, got hooked on your recent blog and lingered past closing … as she was “kicking me out” I showed the young lady your blog … we have a new Rozling in Modesto ;-D

Good to see you at sea again. We all love you too. Keep up the good work spreading the word.

Every time I see a picture of you in your huge row boat, I am in complete awe. Absolutely amazing. Maybe one day, I’ll give ocean rowing a try! Wouldn’t that be fun!

Glad you’re back at sea and good to go!

Can’t wait to read your updates!

    Love to you.

Really brings the immensity of the task into focus … beautiful day, calm water, small boat, “little lady”, … one great big empty horizon in front (behind) of her …. Jim Bell (NSW Australia)

YAY!! Good to hear you’re back at it. Setbacks happen to the best of us.

Roz, two old ladies in Northern NYS are living vicariously through you.
You are one strong woman. Be careful, honey.

Woo Hoo and off you go! I think it was prudent and am so happy for you that things went so smoothly. I hope your sea-legs can be found quickly again. ;)

I feel deeply moved by the support and love shown to my daughter Roz. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

This is just a funny little comment: I just went to have my driver’s license renewed, and my photo (even after careful primping) made me look like Gary Busey’s mug shot! But you, fresh out of the ocean, look like you’re ready for a magazine cover. Envy!!

Cheers to smooth “sailing” from here on out…you beauty! (Both you and the boat!)

Hey Rita – “I’m Back”, sort of anyway… I can’t miss too much of this, none of us can… We adore your daughter – and you for bringing her into this world, for us to adore… “Adoring” someone makes the daily “Nuisance Routines” – as I call all of my surgeries, and related nonsense – worthwhile… More than that, actually!

keep at it Roz , dont let our Indtan Ocean worry you , it gets mean but it gets nice with respect you will be great once you clear the coast.
Take Care & keep the spirits up ,we are all with you

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” Steve Jobs

    Good luck Roz

About Roz Savage

Roz Savage is a British ocean rower and environmental campaigner. Coupled with her solo row across the Atlantic in 2005-6, she has rowed over 11,000 miles, taken 3.5 million oarstrokes, and spent cumulatively nearly a year of her life at sea in a 23-foot rowboat. Her personal creed of taking life 'one oarstroke at a time', and her promotion of the EcoHero movement, has inspired countless people around the world. In 2011 she will set out to complete the "Big Three" by rowing solo across the Indian Ocean.
